Nirote "May" Chaweewannakorn, born in Bangkok, has dedicated his career to transforming Thailand's creator economy into a structured and impactful industry. With a background in chemical engineering and experience in hospitality and marketing, Chaweewannakorn joined Gushcloud Thailand in 2016, where he played a pivotal role in pitching to brands, onboarding creators, and executing campaigns. His strategic acumen was further honed at Mediacom Thailand, where he managed media budgets for global brands like Fonterra and Mars.

Returning to Gushcloud Thailand in 2019, the agency achieved a 20% year-on-year revenue increase in 2024, expanded its service offerings, and secured flagship accounts like AirAsia Thailand, Duolingo and Bank of Ayudhya under Chaweewannakorn’s leadership. Moreover, he infused the agency with purpose-driven storytelling, leading initiatives like the #talkxic anti-cyberbullying campaign, which earned the PRCA Thailand Purpose Award.

Chaweewannakorn's vision extends beyond local success; he has overseen the recruitment of over 100 exclusive talents across APAC, launched company-wide town halls, and implemented HR empowerment initiatives, including a hybrid work model and AI-augmented workflows. This resulted in measurable gains in both staff retention and team engagement. Meanwhile, Chaweewannakorn's commitment to merit-based culture, diversity, and representation has fostered a meritocratic and inclusive workplace.

Under his leadership, Gushcloud has been positioned as a leader in inclusive storytelling, as evidenced by the Duolingo Pride campaign, which built genuine trust with LGBTQ+ communities and tapped into the agency’s own representational strengths with more than 20% LGBTQ+ employees.

Gushcloud Thailand’s partnership with the Foundation for the Employment Promotion of the Blind, launching a legally blind masseuse training program to provide visually impaired individuals new employment opportunities, is further evidence of this.

Chaweewannakorn's initiatives in creator community building, thought leadership, and industry advocacy have bridged the gap between creators and brands, promoting ethical standards and supportive infrastructure. His strategic thinking, deep regional knowledge, and passion for the creator economy have made him a sought-after partner for brands across Asia.
